Blanche mini

I have created a small collection of bracelets to complement the Blanche necklace. Like the necklace, each bracelet is carefully handcrafted, one pearl at a time.

The almost perfectly round white freshwater pearls are individually selected for their soft, luminous glow. Between many of the pearls, I tie tiny knots by hand using a traditional pearl-knotting technique that originated in China and was later refined in Japan. This method has been passed down through generations of classical pearl craftsmanship. Originally, the knots were used to protect the pearls from rubbing against one another and to prevent the entire strand from being lost should the thread ever break.

To me, these knots are also a mark of true craftsmanship. They give each pearl its own place, make the bracelet more flexible, and create the beautiful, graceful drape that only a hand-knotted pearl bracelet can achieve. It is a time-consuming process that requires patience and precision, but I love feeling the craftsmanship in my hands, and I believe it gives each piece a unique sense of calm, strength, and quality.

The bracelet is finished with a gold-plated 925 sterling silver clasp and extension chain. It is adjustable and measures 17.5–22.5 cm (6.9–8.9 inches).
