NAGOMI

Nagomi – a Japanese word for calm, harmony, and a feeling of inner peace.

During my journey to Japan, I came across the beautiful, organic magatama shapes, which hold a very special place in Japanese history. Magatama have been used in Japan since ancient times and were, among other things, worn as amulets and symbols of protection. Traditionally, people would also attach their wishes to a magatama and wear it close to them.

I was particularly drawn to the green magatama made from green agate – its rich, vibrant green colour and soft, almost fluid shape.

Green agate has traditionally been associated with harmony, balance, calm, and renewal – symbolism that beautifully complements the name Nagomi.

I personally selected just a few of these green magatama during my journey in Japan and brought them home to create a small collection of beautiful designs. That is why Nagomi is not just a piece of jewellery, but also a little memory from Japan and a story about carrying something with you that symbolises calm, protection, and good wishes.

The green agate pendant hangs from a delicate chain made of small 2 mm agate stones, creating a light and delicate expression. The clasp and extension chain are made from gold-plated 925 Sterling silver, and the chain can be adjusted from 42.5–47.5 cm.

Nagomi is available with two different magatama pendant sizes: 10 mm or 15 mm in length. A little piece of Japan. A symbol of calm. And a wish you can carry with you.
